The group addresses the processes of Educational Improvement and Leadership from the perspective of Social Justice. Proof of this are the four projects financed by the National R + D + I Plan since 2010:
- Democracy in schools as the cornerstone of an education for social justice (EDU2017-82688-P)
- Schools in socio-economically challenging contexts. An approach from education for social justice (EDU2014-56118-P).
- Schools for social justice (EDU2011-29114)
- Leadership for social justice (EDU2010-18224).
GICE also carried out other research funded by the First Call for Multidisciplinary Projects of the Autonomous University of Madrid, entitled Education and social justice. A multidisciplinary look (CEMU-2012-024). In the category of international calls it can be highlighted projects such as ERASMUS +, Europe engage – Developing a culture of civic engagement through service-learning within Higher Education in Europe (2014-ES01-KA203-004798) and the one financed by The John Templeton Foundation (IRB0001084) whose title en How service-learning influences youth purpose around the world
