World Education Leadership Symposium (WELS)

From September 25 to 26, 2019, the World Education Leadership Symposium (WELS) will be held in Zug, Switzerland. Around one thousand experts from more than 50 countries around the world will discuss about the quality of the education, and current and future challenges that educational leadership faces. The organization of the symposium is in charge of the Institute for the Management and Economics of Education (IBB) located at the University of Teacher Education Zug (PH Zug), in cooperation with associations of teachers and principals, ministries and educational authorities, and other universities. The founder and organizer of the symposium is Prof. Dr. Stephan Gerhard Huber, director of the IBB. Call of proposals is open until December 15, 2018.

In recent years, the large attendance of academics, school principals and teachers from many different countries has made the organizers of the WELS to open parallel lines of communication in English (language for general symposium activities) German and French. Due to the growing attendance of participants from Spanish-speaking countries, the organizers are studying the possibility of opening another line for communications in Spanish during next edition. The decision will be announced later, and it will depend on the rate of registration they receive.
